Diversity Bingo

Bingo Boards

Objective:      

To help the class know more about each other’s diverse backgrounds.

Instructions: 

Ask your students to email or write down a fact about their ethnic or cultural background. It could be anything from “I am African American” to “My Grandparents Immigrated here from Italy” to “My Family celebrates Hanukah” Once you have this list of facts put them randomly around the bingo board and give out a list to everyone in the class. Have the students walk around and ask questions about their cultural backgrounds. If someone has a match on the board they should initial that person’

Variation:

Be creative! If your class does not seem very diverse you can make your own bingo game involving diversity.
