Materials:

NA

Type:

Name Association

Objective:

This is an opportunity for us to get to know one another by name and test your memory.

Instruction:

Sit in a circle.  The first person says, “My name is Ashley, I’m going on a picnic and I am bringing Apricots.”  (Inserting their name and something that begins with the first letter of their first name)

The second person says “My name is Ben, I’m going on a picnic and bringing a blanket and Ashley’s apricots.”  The group continues around the circle until the last person says their name and what the entire group is bringing.

Variations:

  1. Going to college, Going to the beach, Going to Australia, Went to the store and bought etc. Be Creative!!

  2. Instead of going on a picnic, everyone can put an adjective starting with the first letter of their first name in front of it. For Example: Mighty Michael, Joyous Jill, Excited Erin. Go around the circle and have everyone name each person with their adjective.
