Bio
GRACE URRICO is Professor Emerita at Clarion University of Pennsylvania where she taught for twenty-seven years. During her tenure there, Ms. Urrico served as Chairperson of the Music Department and was a member of the Faculty Senate. She taught Applied Piano, Piano Teaching Methods and Materials, and Piano Class, among others.
Prior to joining the faculty at Clarion, Grace taught vocal music in Knox, PA, grades 7-12, vocal music in Dike, IA, grades 5-12, and in North Smithfield, RI, Vocal Music Supervisor, grades 1-8. She taught piano, basic musicianship, theory, and piano classes at the Wellesley and Boston Schools of New England Conservatory.
Ms. Urrico has served as adjudicator for Piano and Choral Festivals and Pageants in New England and Pennsylvania. In addition to her responsibilities as Guest Artist/Teacher and Accompanist at URI, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chorus of Westerly where she serves as Chair of the Education and Outreach Committee. She is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, Mu Phi Epsilon, the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Retired Faculty and the Chaminade Club of Providence.
