An expert on the state's pension crisis, he is on the advisory committee charged with helping vet and organize a solution. Former director of the URI Masters in Accounting Program, his research in accounting and taxes has been featured in The Boston Globe and Providence Journal. He is a technical consultant to Neil Downing's Moneyline column. Former tax manager for Ernst and Young in New York City and current president of the American Taxation Association.
