Aquidneck Island Robotics, a 4-H club that uses robotics to teach students about science, math and engineering, placed fifth among 400 teams that entered the FIRST Robotics World Championships. More than 30,000 students, mentors, spectators, and volunteers were in attendance for the event in St. Louis from April 24 to 27.
The University of Rhode Island Cooperative Extension, part of the College of the Environment and Life Sciences, administers the 4-H program in Rhode Island.
