Notice to the Kingston Campus Community:

Below are the changes pertaining to parking, roadways and transportation for the start of the fall 2012 semester:

The Kingston Connection shuttle bus shelter that previously serviced the Plains Road commuter parking lot has been relocated to a site in the northwest corner within that lot. This has been done to improve the safety of those boarding the shuttles at that location and anticipates the future expansion of Plains Road lot by over 300 vehicles next fall.

At the start of this semester, the Kingston Connection shuttle transit routes remain the same as last year, with the exception that both the shuttle and Hillclimber Express Service buses will be passing through the Plains Road parking lot to serve the new bus shelter location. The new Quarry Road connection between Campus Avenue and Fraternity Circle is being readied for opening in conjunction with Hillside Residence Hall project in October. Further announcements will follow in regard to this road opening.

The College of Pharmacy has relocated from Fogarty Hall at the southern part of campus to its new building within the North District. In response to increased parking demand in the North District as a result of this move, an improved walkway has been readied to enhance access from the Fine Arts parking lot to the eastern entrance of the new Pharmacy Building. In addition, the 30-car parking lot west of White Hall has been re-designated for faculty and staff. Resident students who previously used this lot are recommended to use spaces that have been available in the nearby lot north of the lower end of Flagg Road or other designated resident parking lots.
