"Meet the University" program planned at URI

KINGSTON, R.I.-- October 30, 1998 -- High school seniors and their families are invited to the University of Rhode Island's Kingston Campus to "Meet the University." The event will take place on Friday, Nov. 13 at 12:30 p.m. in Edwards Auditorium.

"Meet the University" is designed to give prospective students and their parents the opportunity to learn more about admissions, financial aid, special services, internships, study abroad offerings, and academic advising.

The informational sessions will feature all of URI's colleges, including University College in which all first- and second-year students are enrolled. The day will begin with a welcome address by URI President Robert L. Carothers and will be followed by tours of the colleges and the campus. Faculty, administrators, and students will be available to answer questions.
