Bartlett Tree branches out
to help URI tick research
KINGSTON, R.I. -- June 2, 1999 -- The F.A. Bartlett
Tree Expert Co., an international arboriculture company headquartered in
Stamford, Conn., continues to support deer tick research at the University
of Rhode Island through a partnership with URI's Center for Vector-Borne
Disease. James B. Ingram, vice president of the company's New England division
and Christopher Fletcher, arborist for the Rhode Island Office located in
Seekonk, Mass., recently presented a check for $10,000 to Dr. Thomas Mather,
an entomologist who heads the URI center. Bartlett Tree offers the best
professionally applied tick control program on the market today, according
to Mather.
