2005 ceremony marks 7th year of hall
KINGSTON, R.I. -- September 21, 2004 -- The University of Rhode Island’s College of Business Administration is seeking nominees for its Hall of Fame. Those selected for induction will be honored during the seventh annual hall of fame dinner on April 7, 2005 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick.
Please send nominations to Dean Edward M. Mazze, College of Business Administration, University of Rhode Island, 350 Ballentine Hall, 7 Lippitt Road, Kingston, R.I. 02881.
Along with the name of the nominee, please include background information on the nominee. The college will contact the nominee directly if he/she is one of the candidates being considered for induction. Inductees are expected to attend the dinner so they can be recognized for their contributions. Nominations should be forwarded no later than Nov. 1.
Priority is given to individuals who are alumni of the College of Business Administration at URI. Non-alumni will also be considered for induction and have been inducted in past years. The primary consideration is the distinction the nominee has brought through their careers in business, government, or in the not-for-profit sector. All nominees must have some contact with the College of Business Administration, the University of Rhode Island or the state of Rhode Island.
“This is always a highlight of the year for us in the College of Business Administration,” Mazze said.
“We shine the spotlight on our prominent alumni, friends of the University and those who have played major roles in the state. Past inductees have been honored for their tremendous contributions in a wide range of activities, professional, civic and philanthropic. We know we will be honoring another great group this year.”
