Family Fun Day at URI Feinstein Providence Campus, Oct. 17

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- September 27, 2004 -- While the thought of going to a "school" on a Sunday might be the last thing on any child's mind, going to a "Family Fun Day" at a school on a Sunday is another matter entirely.

The University of Rhode Island Alan Shawn Feinstein College of Continuing Education will host a FREE Family Fun Day on Sunday, Oct. 17, from 1 to 4 p.m. Open to the public, the event at the University's Providence Campus on 80 Washington St. will include sand art, miniature golf, finger painting, crafts, games, parachute, face-painting, clowns and more for kids of all ages.

Special guests for the event include: A visit by MaxMan, the Resource Recovery recycling superhero and a Performance/Demonstration by the BIG NAZO group. There will be food and cotton candy and popcorn. Bring family and friends.

This Family Fun event is co-sponsored by the Office of Student Services and the Student Government Board of the Alan Shawn Feinstein College of Continuing Education.
