URI’s Honors Colloquium cancels Oct. 4 presentation

KINGSTON, R.I. -- September 29, 2004 -- The coordinators of the University of Rhode Island’s Honors Colloquium, “Food & Human Rights, Hunger & Social Policy” have announced that the Oct. 4 lecture has been cancelled.
Due to a scheduling conflict, U.S. Rep. James P. McGovern (D-Mass.) co-chair of the Congressional Hunger Center, will not speak as planned.
The colloquium will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 12 with a presentation about the meaning of food in film.
