URI Theatre Department announces auditions for The Diary of Anne Frank
KINGSTON, RI. -- January 18, 2005 -- Members of the public with acting experience or who would like to build some stage experience are invited to audition for The University of Rhode Island Theatre Departmentís upcoming production of The Diary of Anne Frank by Francis Goodrich and Albert Hackett, newly adapted by Wendy Kesselman.
Auditions will be held Thursday, Feb. 3, 5:15 to 10:30 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 4, 5 to 10:30 p.m. in the G Studio, Fine Arts Center, URI Kingston Campus. Callbacks will be on Monday, Feb. 7, 5 to 11 p.m.
Audition requirement is a prepared one to two minute contemporary monologue. The monologue should portray honesty and truth and show a variety of personality. It should not contain off-color language.
The Diary of Anne Frank will be performed in URIís Robert E. Will Theatre beginning April 28 to April 30 and May 4 to May 7 at 8 p.m. and on May 1 at 5 p.m.
