URI Feinstein College of Continuing Education awards scholarships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- September 28, 2005 -- The University of Rhode Island's Alan Shawn Feinstein College of Continuing Education in Providence has announced that more than 150 scholarships have been awarded to part-time adult students who are admitted and enrolled at the Feinstein Providence Campus. The scholarships funded by generous donations to the college provide assistance for course tuition and textbooks.

Beverly Columbo of Cranston received the Verrecchia scholarship.
Allison Cone of Providence received the Jill Smith Ellsworth scholarship.
Siogouni Gboho of Central Falls, Gary Jenkins of Riverside, and Kathleen Szpila of Providence were awarded Anna and Gregory Demetrakas scholarships for their pursuit of a degree in mathematics, science, or related fields.
Patricia Jaspers of East Greenwich was awarded the Suzanna Anstine Norbeck scholarship.
Donna McGowan of Providence received the Janice Paff Memorial Scholarship.
Joanna Senay of Cranston received the Dr. Richard M. Bianco Scholarship for women in Bachelor of General Studies program, the Carol A. Corwin book scholarship, the Janice Paff, and the Demetrakas scholarships.
Lorraine Oni of Warwick, Robin Mello of Tiverton, Hannah Tarawali of Riverside, Sandra Ducharme of Charlestown, and Ashly Monteiro of Providence received the John R. Hackett scholarship.
Kenneth Hall of East Greenwich, James Goulet of Kingston, Heather Clark of Warwick, Titilola Oyegunle-Martin of Providence, Fatima DoVale of East Providence, Jeanette Bradley of Rumford and Christian Riley of Warwick received John Shepard II Scholarships.
Suelem Rosalino of North Providence, Beverly Colombo of Cranston, and Gwee Freeman, Octavia Clements, and Nicole Bush of Providence received Mackin scholarships.
Celestina Okai, Lisa McLeod, and Caroline Hutchinson of Providence received the Rae scholarships.
