KINGSTON, R.I. March 14, 2014 The Harrington School of Communication and Media will recognize outstanding students at its second annual Public Relations Excellence Awards ceremony at the Alumni Center on March 26 at 3 p.m. Five award categories will capture the essence of student achievement: leadership, most innovative, community/campus involvement, outstanding internship experience, and impact.
The Harrington School encourages students to make a difference in the global and local community. Renee Hobbs, the founding director of the Harrington School, said, We applaud the achievements of our students as they contribute to make a difference both in the local and global community. Our schools mission is to work together to use the power of communication and information to make a difference in the world.
Recent URI graduate and honorary chairperson, Dominic Green, content and branding manager of (add)ventures in Providence, realizes the significance of nurturing students to develop the necessary skills to make a difference in our local and global community.
