Professor Leveillee is a psychiatric mental health clinical nurse specialist who joined the faculty full time in 2000. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Rhode Island College and her Master's of Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island. Prior to joining the faculty she worked for many years in both in-patient and out-patient psychiatric settings with a specialtiy in women's issues and eating disorders. She has done extensive community outreach and education in the area of eating disorders.
Her current responsibilties in the College of Nurisng include teaching undergraduate psychiatric / mental health nursing in both lecture and clinical. She is also completing her doctorate at the University of Rhode Island. She has research intersts in the areas of women's issues, eating disorders and client-nurse relationships.
Community partnerships are agencies that serve as clinical sites for student learning. The College of Nursing has excellent placements available throughout the state of Rhode Island and the bordering states.
