Bio
Jennifer Fuvich received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Rhode Island College in 1999. Her Master of Science degree with a concentration in Nursing Education was earned at the University of Rhode Island in 2009. She is also currently enrolled in the Doctoral program at the University of Rhode Island.

Professor Fuvich has worked as a staff nurse at Rhode Island Hospital since graduating from Rhode Island College in 1999 and she is still currently employed as a per-diem float nurse. She started her career on a general medical floor and then decided to join the float pool to obtain more experience. She also performs home visits and assessments on individuals enrolled in Dr. Mary Sullivan’s Preterm Infant to Adult Study. Jennifer teaches two senior medical surgical practicum as well as a lab section of NUR 203.

Professor Fuvich’s areas of interest for future research include the application of the self-efficacy theory with nursing students in both the clinical and classroom setting. She is also interested in the use of simulation and computer mediated learning with nursing students across the curriculum.
