Bio
A 1996 graduate of RI College of Nursing, Mary received her M.S. in the nurse-midwifery concentration in 2002 from the University of Rhode Island College of Nursing. She received her post masters certificate as an FNP in 2006 (from the CON) as well. Re-entering as a Ph.D. student in 2008, Mary’s research interests lie in investigating how nurses can help expecting women (or couples) create successful families.

Mary was the first midwife to receive normal newborn privileges in Rhode Island in 2004. From 2007-2011, she was Site Director of Maternal Child Health Fellowship at Brown University and Memorial Hospital of RI. Mary owns her own Midwifery and FNP Practice in Scituate, Rhode Island.
