Important Dates, Deadlines, and To-Dos for Fall 2012

MAY

• Pay $300 enrollment deposit and (if desired) $200 on-campus housing deposit: www.uri.edu/es: Deadline: May 1
• Complete Freshman Housing Application - select “Academic Year Housing”: housing.uri.edu: Deadline: May 1
• NOTE: Freshman Housing Application can be completed after May 1 through July 5, but housing is not guaranteed if application not completed by initial May 1 deadline.
• Available May 5, indicate roommate request(s) for Fall 2012, if desired: housing.uri.edu: Deadline for indicating preferences: July 5
• Select resident student meal plan: www.uri.edu/dining: Deadline for changes: September 14
• Access eCampus account to accept, decline, or adjust your financial aid award: www.uri.edu/ecampus
• Register for New Student Orientation: www.uri.edu/orientation: Deadline: June 1

JUNE

• Submit final high school transcript to Office of Admission showing all high school coursework successfully completed and graduation date: www.uri.edu/admission: Deadline: July 15
• Enroll in a monthly tuition payment plan: www.uri.edu/es/students/bill/mppletter.html: Last day to enroll: August 22
• Activate your URI Refund Card - look to your mailbox for a Higher One URI Refund Card. www.urirefundcard.com or www.uri.edu/es
• Complete requirements necessary to receive your financial aid
• Entrance Counseling for Student Direct Loans www.studentloans.gov
• Master Promissory Note for Parent (PLUS) and Student Direct Loans www.studentloans.gov
• URI supplemental Parent PLUS loan application www.uri.edu/es/students/finance/parentplus.htm

JULY

• Health Insurance waiver -- available July 1: www.health.uri.edu: Deadline: October 1
• Complete Health and History Form via Online Student Health portal - available July 1 for all full-time registered students: student.health.uri.edu/osh
• Indicate roommate request(s) for Fall 2012, if desired: housing.uri.edu: Deadline: July 5
• Obtain 2012 Fall Move-In Guide: housing.uri.edu: Available July 23
• Ensure proof of immunizations has been mailed/faxed to Health Services: health.uri.edu/immunizations: Deadline: August 15
• Fall term bills mailed July 16-20: Due date: last week of August
• Grant eCampus access to parent/guardian to view tuition bill, academic record, and financial aid: www.uri.edu/es
• Create your online store profile with URI Bookstore to prepare to order your fall books through Box + Carry program: www.bookstore.uri.edu

AUGUST

• Check eCampus to be sure Fall tuition bill is paid in full: www.uri.edu/ecampus --> Term Finances --> Your Term Bill
• Place online order for books & course materials from URI Bookstore: www.bookstore.uri.edu: Order between August 11 - August 25. Orders available for pick-up starting during Move-In Weekend.
• Order a parking permit if you are bringing a car to campus or commuting: http://www.uri.edu/parking/ Available beginning August 1.

SEPTEMBER

• Move-In Weekend: Consult 2012 Move-In Guide for your specific move-in time: September 1 - 2: housing.uri.edu
• Pick-up pre-ordered Box & Carry order in Memorial Union Atriums: www.bookstore.uri.edu: Available for pick-up September 1 - September 4.
• First Night - September 2: mu.uri.edu
• Refund & Exchange deadline for book purchases (receipt & student ID necessary): www.bookstore.uri.edu: Deadline: September 15

OCTOBER

• Check eCampus to be sure Fall tuition bill is paid in full before attempting to register for Spring classes www.uri.edu/ecampus --> Term Finances --> Your Term Bill
