Early Arrival

Early arrival is an arrangement that can be made so you can check-in to the orientation residence hall the night before your scheduled orientation session.
While all students are welcome at early arrival, students who typically come early:
- live far away from URI, making it difficult to arrive before the 8:30am check-in on Day 1;
- need to come early because of transportation restrictions on Day 1 of their orientation session.
No formal programming will take place on this evening, however you will be able to participate in activities and meet with Orientation Leaders. Early arrival check-in will take place between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. the evening before your orientation session.

To Register for Early Arrival:
- When completing your orientation reservation (via online registration system), please select "1 night" accommodation from the drop down menu that appears under your selected orientation session. Note: Your orientation reservation includes your overnight stay during the session. By selecting "1 night", you will be indicating you need one additional night (early arrival).
- The online registration system will add the $20 early arrival fee to your total amount due.
