URI Council for Outreach

Mission:

The mission of the University of Rhode Island Council for Outreach is to promote and facilitate outreach.  The Council for Outreach, chaired by the Vice Provost for Graduate Studies, Research and Outreach, is charged with recommending internal University outreach policies and support services to foster outreach efforts University-wide. 

The Council, in association with URI’s outreach partners, will assist the Office of University Outreach with the following:

• Promoting the visibility of an access to URI outreach efforts, both on campus and externally,

• Fostering linkages and matching needs between URI outreach partners and targeted audiences and stakeholders, 

• Addressing relevant outreach information, funding, compensation, and acknowledgement issues,

• Promoting undergraduate and graduate learning experiences in conjunction with outreach efforts.
