- This non-profit, Internet based
organization provides information and
support to patients and families facing
life-threatening illnesses. Information is

how to be a supportive caregiver, etc.,
and (4) Bereavement - a guide to grief,

Alliance for
Caregiving
- NAC is a joint-venture among the
American Socety on Aging (ASA), the
Department of Veterans Affairs, the
National Association of Area Agencies on
Aging, and GlaxoWellcome. The site
contains caregiving tips, links to
consumer, governmental, and professional
caregiving web sites, as well as
downloadable reports and informational
products related to caregiving research.

Rhode
Island Partnership to Improve End-of-Life
Care
- Funded by a grant from the Robert Wood
Johnson Foundation and based at Brown
University, the Partnership is a
collaborative effort among Brown
University, RIGEC, the University of Rhode
Island College of Nursing, and Aging 2000.
Projects include educational programs for
certified nursing assistants, quality
improvement program in pain management in
nursing facilities, consumer workshops,
