RIGEC
currently offers the following educational
resources and services for health care and
human service professionals who work with
older adults:
Teens
on Senior Stereotypes
(TOSS)
- a 79-page, spiral bound booklet/report
prepared by nineteen R.I. high school
students who completed a "Kids Into Health
Careers" inspired summer research project
in the summer of 2000. The goal of the
program was to encourage career interest
in geriatrics and geronotology. The
booklet contains a daily program agenda,
developed by project faculty and staff,
for each week of the project.
Teens
Against Senior Stereotypes
(TAGS)
- a 72-page, spiral bound booklet/report
prepared by seven R.I. high school
students who enrolled in a "Kids Into
Health Careers" inspired summer research
project in the summer of 2001. This
program was the follow-up to the 2000 TOSS
program. The booklet contains a daily
program agenda, developed by project
faculty and staff, for each week of the
project.
