Getting involved, staying informed

The goals of the Parents Council are to help parents establish a relationship with URI and to encourage parental input and support for the University.

The Parents Council welcomes any interested parents or guardians of URI students. Council members receive regular updates from the administration and participate in parent-oriented programs to support the University.

Current Council volunteer programs and activities include welcoming families at Admissions events, providing input on Career Services programs, supporting the URI Parents Fund, and participating in the planning of Family Weekend. Parents Council members also serve as information resources for families of potential URI students.
