It is important to always have the vehicle information in your account at https://uri.thepermitstore.com match the vehicle that you have on campus each day. It is the responsibility of the student, staff or faculty member to update their vehicle information anytime there are changes to their account such as a license plate change, vehicle change, address change, etc., even if it is only on a temporary basis (i.e. original vehicle has gone in for repair and you have a different vehicle on campus).
The process is as follows:
STUDENTS:
For a short-term vehicle change:
If you will be using a different vehicle for less than a week or two, you do not need to transfer the decal but be sure to follow steps 3 - 8 so that the information in the computer matches the vehicle you have on campus
For a permanent or long-term vehicle change:
FACULTY & STAFF:
For a short-term OR long-term vehicle change
If your hangtag cannot be displayed, please make sure to follow the above procedure. Once the vehicle information is updated, the officers will know that the vehicle is yours. A warning for non-display may be issued, but there is no penalty with that type of warning.
