Define Campus Community and Academic Structure Define Campus Community and Academic Structure Exceeded Goal:
  • Defined all required tables for the Academic Structure and Campus Community.
  • Setup all active tables for the Academic Structure and Campus Community
  • Convened a committee with URI cross-representation to discuss PS tables shared between Human Resources and Student Administration, and to assign ownership for ongoing table maintenance.
  • Established and documented standards for entering and maintaining names and addresses in the integrated HR/SA database.

System Testing - The process of identifying, documenting, and performing processes to ensure that PeopleSoft functionality exists to perform all URI's specific process successfully. Exceeded Goal:

Admissions:

  • Documented URI's business process flows.
  • Performed analysis to enhance current processes.
  • Generated test scripts to test the PeopleSoft functionality.
  • Performed the tests.
  • Resolved any issues that came out during the testing process.

 Student Records:

  • Documented URI's process flows.
  • Performed analysis to enhance current processes.
  • Generated test scripts to test the PeopleSoft functionality.
  • Performed the tests for approximately 80% of the test scripts.

Financial Aid:

  • Documented URI's process flows.
  • Performed analysis to enhance current processes.
  • Generated test scripts to test the PeopleSoft functionality.

Student Financials:

  • Documented URI's business process flows.
  • Performed analysis to enhance current processes.

Migration from Legacy to PeopleSoft: Exceeded Goal:
  • Began analysis of requirements and strategies for required conversions and interfaces from the current system and PeopleSoft system.
Reporting: Exceeded Goal:
  • Identified all required report requirements for Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions.
  • Identified the major reporting requirements for Student Financials.
  • Designed and built technical prototype that will allow the users to execute URI's custom reports from the PeopleSoft menu.
Security: Exceeded Goal:
  • Designed a security matrix identifying all panels available to Admissions and Student Financials. 
  • Used the security matrix to define roles and access within the Admissions and Student Financials departments.
Training: Exceeded Goal:
  • Project team is in the process of developing a training manual for Undergraduate Admissions.
