PROS

Clinical studies have found that cabbage is effective in warding off diseases, specifically cancer.  Also, the approach of the diet allows for quick weight loss while being allowed to eat as much of the prescribed foods as you want.

CONS

This particular plan is claiming that you can lose anywhere from 10-15 pounds in one week.  According to Elaine Turner, a Nutritional Scientist with the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agriculture Sciences, this is impossible.  If you are losing that much then it is just water weight and you will gain it all back once you start your regular diet again.  In order to lose one pound of fat, a person needs to burn 3000 to 3500 calories more than they consume.  Ways to do this safely include eating less, exercising more, or a combination of the two.  It is not considered safe to lose more than 1 or 2 pounds per week.
