Benefits
The people that developed this diet worked very hard to make a diet that is simple and easy, and they have succeeded. It is hard to rationalize not having time to take a couple of shakes and snack bars with you to work. They also integrated snacks into the plan so the participants do not feel like they will be going hungry at any point during the day while they are on the plan.
Drawbacks
Almost all of humanity has seen the Slim Fast diet advertised on television on every channel at all hours of the day and night. Even though the plan has helped numerous people to lose weight, it does have many drawbacks. The only reason it is a "balanced diet" is because there are added vitamins and minerals in the milk shakes. Unfortunately with this plan, if people are not willing to visit the website and teach themselves how to eat right and make sensible meals that are balanced, and exercise, once they stop using the Slim Fast diet they will gain the weight back again.
