Tupac was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 16, 1971 and raised by his mother Afeni Shakur. In order to get through the hard times he started out writing love songs and poetry, and also participating in many aspects of theatre. He finally fell into rap in Baltimore, writing lyrics and staging his New York background.Tupacs first break came with a group called "Digital Underground" who was known funkadelic beats and hard bass. After he broke away from Digital Underground he had record breaking success. Dropping unbelievable records and starring in great films like "juice". Tupac's death came at the apex of his career, he was shot and eventually died on December 13, 1996. Luckily Tupac left behind tons of his music which his mother Afeni Shakur is currently putting to wax. Tupac is still in the history books and always will be, he is the second highest payed dead celebrity behind the one and only Maralyn Manroe, and most of that money goes to his school of the arts.
