Is it time to forget 1918 and remember 2002?

Heading into the 2002 baseball season, Red Sox fans were very skeptical as to what would happen for the upcoming season.  The team had taken a major overhaul from last season’s disastrous end.  They had new management, new coaches, new players, and had some of their stars returning from an injury plagued season.   Would it make a difference?
