From Fall 1989 through Spring 1991, I was a teaching associate for classes in modern Latin American history including the survey of Latin American history taught by Professor E. Bradford Burns; Latin American Social History through film, taught by Jose Moya; Central American history taught by Julio Pino (now at Kent State University); and Mexican history taught by David Lorey.

UCLA Center for the Study of Women Research Assistantship, 1989. During the 1989 academic year, I served as a research assistant for Ellen DuBois

Teaching Assistantship, Freshman Summer Program of the Academic Advancement Program: Women's Studies, 1989. During the summer FSP, I was a teaching assistant in the Introduction to Women's Studies. The FSP is a special program to help new first-year students integration into the university community and to strengthen their study skills. The overwhelming majority of students are from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
