- About Me
Throughout my childhood in New Jersey , I had a friendly relationship with libraries. During my undergraduate career at Bard College , that friendship blossomed into the kind of adoration and respect that begins vocations. As I did research on my senior thesis, I began to understand their importance not simply as places of entertainment but also as cultural meeting grounds and conduits of information. Working at Princeton University 's Seeley G. Mudd Manuscript Library—the campus and public policy papers archive—my belief that history is something that must be preserved was heightened. This connection to the past is why I have an interest in library and information sciences, and particularly in archival studies. The promise and the potential of libraries continues to fascinate me, and being part of that is something I could spend a lifetime doing.
Currently, I am working towards a Masters in Library and Information Studies at the University of Rhode Island . My studies are particularly focused on issues of diversity and information literacy. As a PRISM scholar, I attend conferences, intern at Roger Williams University Main Library, and attend workshops and meetings. For more on the PRISM scholarship please visit our website [prism site not yet finished]
I also enjoy writing fiction, maintaining my German, sewing, and amateur web design.

Internship
I am currently interning at Roger Williams University Main Library. As an intern, I do tasks for the library that are more involved than those required of my assistant's position. The internship is centered on information literacy both in person and digital, and may expand into archives. Recently, I have taught several library instruction courses and updated our online tutorial .
