The Department of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track position with anticipated appointment 2008.

 

Dr. Yan's Lab
Postdoctoral Positions (up to two). We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with background in basic molecular techniques (e.g., molecular cloning) and/or instrumental analysis (e.g., HPLC, MS).  These positions will focus on drug metabolism and transcription regulation related to chemical elimination or oncogenesis.  For full consideration, please submit curriculum vitae and contact information of three references to e-mail: byan@uri.edu

 

Dr. LaPlante's Lab
Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) – Providence RI
Fellowship - Infectious Diseases/Pharmacotherapy

This two year fellowship program is design to provide skills that are necessary to pursue a career in academia, clinical research and basic clinical practice focused in infectious diseases. The program integrates a formal hands-on laboratory experience, teaching (classroom and experiential), and practical clinical experience. A major focus of this program is in research design, development, analysis and writing for final publication. Fellows are responsible for submitting their research to national and international infectious diseases meetings and submitting their papers to peer reviewed journals for publication.

Dr. Stoner's Lab
Postdoctoral fellowship available immediately
to study the molecular mechanisms of nuclear receptor signaling in liver.

Qualifications: Experience with standard molecular biology techniques: including, but not limited to, RT-PCR, ChIP, western blotting, plasmid cloning, transient transfections, shRNA/lentiviral delivery and EMSA; experience with rodent liver models a plus; strong work ethic, meticulous record keeping and fluency in expression/comprehension of written/spoken English.  Salary based on NIH pay scale and full health benefits provided.  Send CV and contact information for three references to:  Dr.
