Clinical Practice Site:
CVS / Various Community Sites
Dr. Cohen's community practice site is at a CVS regional
business office in Lincoln, Rhode Island. This is where she helps to
develop community practice sites and community preceptors. She precepts
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) students participating in community-based
services including hypertension screening programs and diabetes
education programs. She also has a clinical/research site at the VA
Medical Center in Providence where she teaches group
diabetes/cardiovascular medical management classes.
Research interest is in patients
with diabetes and other cardiovascular risk factors, such as
hyperlipidemia and hypertension. Didactic responsibilities include
self-care lectures on nutrition supplementation, women's health, ear &
ear care, and foot care. Other didactic responsibilities include
hypertension, men's health, and endocrine conditions.
