New Pharmacy Building

The $75 million facility supports leading-edge teaching, research, and service activities and features three interconnected buildings with a medicinal garden.

Medicinal Garden

The garden and greenhouse were established in 1958 and dedicated to Heber W. Youngken, Jr. Dean Emeritus of the College of Pharmacy in 1994. The Garden functions as an educational display of medicinal plants herbs and spices and also as a conservatiory source of standard specimens.

3D Animation Facility

The 3D animation facility has covered topics that span from Gleevecs mechanism of action, to the factors effecting drug distribution in the body. It has become a collaborative effort between faculty and students to produce educational tools to facilitate the explanation of complex topics to their peers.

The Rhode Island State Crime Laboratory (RISCL) offers a range of scientific services for agencies investigating evidence related to federal, state or local crimes.

INBRE Centralized Research Core Facility

Institutional Development Award (IDeA) Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) is designed to support and develop talented individuals who are committed to research careers in Rhode Island. The research foci of the RI-INBRE program are molecular toxicology, cell biology, and the behavioral sciences.
