Research Interests

Dr. Barbour's research interests are focused in the area of cardiovascular pharmacotherapy. She has performed clinical trials evaluating the mechanisms of myocardial ischemia and its treatment, as well as studies in cardiovascular pharmacoepidemiology. She is a reviewer for Pharmacotherapy and Annals of Pharmacotherapy. In addition to funding by the pharmaceutical industry and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Dr. Barbour has been awarded multiple grants by the American Heart Association.
