Research Interests

 

 

Dr. Bratberg’s research and clinical practice is focused in Infectious Diseases (ID) and public health emergency preparedness. Currently, he is a preceptor for advanced practice experiences in ID for Pharm.D. students at Rhode Island Hospital. Students work collaboratively with Dr. Bratberg and members of the Infectious Diseases Consult Services at Rhode Island Hospital to assess, manage, and modify patients’ pharmacotherapeutic regimens. He also teaches in and coordinates the core, elective, and interactive learning infectious diseases pharmacotherapy courses. His research interests include defining pharmacists’ role in public health, particularly in disaster and emergency preparedness. Dr. Bratberg also has research interests in the scholarship of teaching in pharmacy, including active learning for students and working professionals.
