Dr. Estus has a wide range of practice experience including community, managed care, drug information, and geriatrics/long-term care. Dr. Estus maintains the URI College of Pharmacy eHealth web portal (www.uri.edu/ehealth) and teaches older adults effective ways to access health information on the Internet. In her geriatric practice precepting Doctor of Pharmacy students, Dr. Estus introduces students to a variety of settings including independent community, assisted living and nursing home/skilled environments. In addition, she coordinates a professional geriatrics elective within the curriculum. Dr. Estus offers students the opportunity to learn about many aspects of long- term care pharmacy through her affiliation with a national provider of long-term care pharmacy services.
