Dr. Taveira’s clinical practice at the Providence VA Medical Center is focused on the provision of pharmaceutical care in the adult ambulatory care setting. Her activities include the provision of direct pharmaceutical care services to high risk patients with chronic conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and tobacco use in the pharmacist-led Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Clinic (CRRC) and the pharmacist-led group medical visit program. Her research and publications have focused on the evaluation of pharmacist-coordinated cardiac risk reduction care models and the impact of mental health conditions on diabetes and cardiac risk factor control. |
