Based at the University of Rhode Island, NEL is one of the premier
neurotoxicology research laboratories in the world working on the
neurotoxicology of environmental agents, with a special emphasis on the
developmental basis of Alzheimer’s Disease. Under the direction of
Principal Investigator, Dr. Nasser H. Zawia, NEL has made several
groundbreaking discoveries in this new and evolving field. Please refer
