Fall 2012 brings leading pharmaceutical scientists and researchers from around the globe to do some big thinking at the University of Rhode Island. If you are a scientist, researcher, educator, or student in the area of drug discovery and development, you won't want to miss this opportunity to learn and network with some of most prominent names in the field.

This conference informs a global audience on the latest emerging fields in drug research, and highlights some recent breakthroughs and successes, including...

  • Bench drug discovery (e.g., natural products, medicinal chemistry, biologics)
  • Development stages (e.g., drug delivery, nanotechnology, toxicology, clinical pharmacology, drug metabolism, transporters, pharmacokinetics).

The event features an extensive program including speaker sessions and poster sessions which will bring together global professionals from the fields of drug discovery and drug development, rendering of new pharmacy buildingoffering collaborations through dynamic scientific and social events.

Attendees are invited to tour the URI College of Pharmacy's new research and education building. The $75 million facility will support leading-edge teaching, research, and service activities, and will feature three interconnected buildings with a medicinal garden. The official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Tuesday, September 4th.
