The pharmacy program is one of the most competitive programs at URI. Each year, more than 1,000 highly qualified applicants pursue 90 available spots in the six-year Pharm.D. program. Construction of a new building for this prestigious program will commence in 2008.
The $75 million building will be primarily funded by a $65 million voter-approved state bond initiative. Private and industry gifts totaling $10 million are sought to enhance the building and support the leading-edge teaching, research, and service activities that will take place there.
Construction documents have been completed. They have been submitted for permitting and we are concurrently preparing the project to be bid.
