New Building Construction

The pharmacy program is one of the most competitive programs at URI. Each year, more than 1,000 highly qualified applicants pursue 90 available spots in the six-year Pharm.D. program. Construction of a new building for this prestigious program will commence in the Fall of 2009.

The $75 million building will be primarily funded by a $65 million voter-approved state bond initiative. Private and industry gifts totaling $10 million are sought to enhance the building and support the leading-edge teaching, research, and service activities that will take place there.

Project Status

We are in the process of awarding the construction contract to Suffolk Construction.
