Learning Goals

Upon graduation from the BSPS program, students are expected to achieve eight specific concepts in conjunction with eight specific outcomes. These include:

  1. Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
    Outcome:  Utilize solid background in basic and pharmaceutical science to apply critical thinking and problem solving to assist in the development manufacture and evaluation of drugs.

  2. Interpersonal / Collaboration Skills
    Outcome:  Function effectively in groups to accomplish objectives.

  3. Knowledge
    Outcome:  Demonstrate the body of knowledge that encompasses pharmaceutical sciences.

  4. Self-Directed Learning
    Outcome:  Demonstrate responsibility for own learning and professional competence.

  5. Professionalism and Ethics
    Outcome:  Demonstrate professional behavior throughout the pharmaceutical sciences curriculum.

  6. Leadership
    Outcome:  Demonstrate leadership in professional and community activities and organizations.

  7. Communication
    Outcome:  Communicate effectively to diverse audiences.

  8. Professional Involvement
    Outcome:  Present scientific findings at local, regional and national levels.
