Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)

Overview

Our Pharm.D. is a 0-6 program, which means that as an entering freshman, you maintain eligibility for entry into the four professional years, provided you have a 2.5 grade point average in required science and math courses after three semesters, with no grade below C-, and successfully pass an interview during the fourth semester.

The 6-year curriculum stresses critical thinking, active learning and clinical experience to prepare you for practice in a variety of professional settings. The clinical portion of the program provides you with hands-on experience in hospitals, nursing homes, community pharmacies, government institutions, home healthcare settings, pharmacy benefits management companies, and other industries. We will work with you to place you in early and advanced experience practice sites that are aligned with your educational and career goals.

While most of our first year students come directly from high school, we also accept a small number of transfer students into the first professional year (P1) of the curriculum.
