American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP)
Eligibility
All Students of Pharmacy
Mission

Networking with
professionals and students within the field of pharmacy and closely
related fields, allowing communication of information necessary to
make an informed decision regarding career direction.

Increase the knowledge
of students about careers in pharmacy practice health systems.

Improve the
organizational and practice-focused leadership skills of students.

Increase cooperation
among pharmacy schools, ASHP Affiliated State Chapters, and ASHP in
addressing the needs of students with respect to career information,
leadership development, and organizational involvement.

ASHP represents
pharmacists who practice in hospitals, health maintenance
organizations, long-term care facilities, home care, and other
health care systems. The mission of pharmacists is to help people
make the best use of medicines. Assisting pharmacists in fulfilling
this mission is the primary objective of ASHP.
