Business and Industry
The Office of Special Programs provides contract training and offers a wide variety of services to help meet the needs of local business and industry. The URI Providence Biotechnology Center provides a state-of-the-art training center for the biotech industry. In addition the RI State Crime Laboratory conducts specialized workshops for advanced training in the area of scientific investigations upon request or on an as needed basis. The programs are offered either on campus or at your site and boast an impressive clientele including Amgen, Alexion, Rhode Island and Miriam Hospitals, Newport Navy Base, On-Semiconductor, Pfizer and Raytheon as well as law enforcement agencies across the state.
