Section 1 - Introduction to Design Software
Develop the skills to produce print and electronic media using Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign in 48 hours of classroom instruction. Using this industry standard software, learn the basics of layout and design by creating and applying custom graphics, text and images to achieve professional publications and other print media. Students will be taught core skills with special attention to file management, color control, image resolution, type selection and formatting, and delivery of print ready files.

Section 2 - Introduction to Web Design
Learn the basics of Web site design and get an introduction to the Internet, design principles for the Web, HTML, CSS (cascading style sheets) and Search Engine Optimization. In this 45-hour course you will use Adobe's Dreamweaver application to build a basic Web site. The exercises presented will illustrate how to take a project from concept to completion, familiarizing you with this industry standard tool and ensuring your site's consistent performance and style across various platforms and browsers. You will also receive an introduction to the powerful vector animation tool, Flash, including the basics needed to create striking animations for use on the Web.
3/9 - 4/22 - 7 Weeks/15 Classes

Section 3 - Capstone / Final Project
Demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and competencies in multimedia design in this 12 hour section through completion of a final project: a web page, newsletter, brochure, or related print media.
4/27 - 5/11 - 2 Weeks/4 Classes + Independent Study
