Coaching Foundations Certificate Program
"An empowered organization
is one in which individuals have the knowledge, skill,
desire, and opportunity to personally succeed in a way
that leads to collective organizational success."
--Stephen Covey
This program introduces leaders to a coaching approach that is asset-based, one that builds on a recognition of strengths and capabilities, rather than attempting solely to correct deficits or fix deficiencies. Recent research has affirmed the superiority of this "positivistic" framework for aiding others to grow, learn, stretch and excel.
How can you transform your company's culture and output? Professionals in managerial, supervisory and leadership roles will learn a new mindset, acquire a different, more effective skill set for aiding followers, and use a varied and focused tool set for coaching others to higher levels of success and performance. This framework and the systematic, supportive approaches entailed will give learners a broader, more powerful repertoire with which to coach others for enhanced performance and problem-solving, better relational capacities, and more flexible emotional and social prowess. Whether doing so for professional growth, to augment one's skill levels or enable direct reports to improve, this is the program for you.
The instructor for this program is Dr. Gene Knott who has been a professional coach for over 20 years, working primarily with senior and C-level executives. Dr. Knott has worked extensively with six sectors: health care, human services, finance, high tech, higher education, & with professional associations.
The complete Coaching Foundations Certificate Program registration cost is $1300.00 and it includes course materials and free parking. Sessions will meet at the University of Rhode Island Providence Campus, 80 Washington Street, Providence, RI 02903.
