This course analyzes homeland security & defense strategies, objectives and key players. It explores the strengths and weaknesses of U.S. existing policies, procedures and operations to include wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the war against Islamist terrorism.

Terror Attacks: Psychological Effects and the Management of Fear $395
Class meets January 23 - March 23, 2012
This course examines the psychological eff¬ects of terror attacks upon populations. It delves into the near and long-term e¬ffects of mass casualty attacks. It utilized the September 2004 Islamist attack against the Middle School # 1 in Beslan, Russia as the definitive example.
