Master Seamstress I Certificate Program 2009-2010 - $995

The Master Seamstress Certificate Program is an 84-hour, year-long educational program, which includes instruction and ‘hands on’ experience in all aspects of apparel construction. Intermediate apparel construction skills are required. It is assumed you already know how to sew blouses, skirts, and dresses, etc., but need to understand and solve fitting and pattern design problems, learn couture tailoring techniques and experiment with specialty fabrics. Many graduates of this program are employed in a home based business or in the apparel industry. In order to receive a certificate, participants must complete the entire program and all required projects. The instructors are professionals with years of experience in the apparel industry and have degrees in textile and apparel design.

If you are not certain that you have enough experience or have detailed questions about this program, please feel free to contact Diane G. Martin, Program Coordinator, 401-762-0960 or by email DMa426@aol.com.
