Fall Classes (TBD)....................................................Registration Fee: $199.00
Sign language can broaden your communication skills, stimulate your senses, and increase your ability to be expressive. No previous experience required.
This class
welcomes adults and students (elementary, middle and high
school). This course will focus on building your sign vocabulary,
increasing your receptive and expressive signing ability, improving your
awareness and use of body language and facial expressions, understanding
of basic fingerspelling and number signs, and increase
your cultural knowledge and broad awareness of the deaf community and
deaf culture. Conversational curriculum requires you to be an active learner.
You need to be prepared to communicate with your classmates and instructor
in ASL to the best of your ability from day one. By working with a Deaf
instructor, you will be immersed in ASL and gain a better understanding
of the Deaf community.
